he departed thence to teach and preach in their :cities.

NOTE: It is important to see how “The Great Commission” of Matthew 28:18-20 ties in so closelyto what Jesus says to His 12 disciples here in chapter 10. These words here, plus those in the “Sermon on the Mount”, are absolutely relevant for you and me. Many water this down, and teach that these words prior to Jesus' death and resurrection are notrelevant for us today. Thisis completely contraryto the clear teachingof Jesus. I would fearto be in the shoes of such so-called teachers when they finally appear before the BEma, the Judgment Seat of Christ, to answer for their teaching and deeds done here in the body. Thisis why James in 3:1 says by the Spirit, “Be not many teachers, my brethren, knowing that weshall receive greater condemnation.”False teachers, false prophets, false apostles - all such face a fearfulend.

One of Ivan Panin's favorite verses in the Bible was Isaiah 66:2 - “But to this man will I look, even to him that is poorand of a contrite spirit, and that trembles at my word.”Thiswas why Panin spent 100,000 hours preparing his two Bible Numeric New Testaments: - one in Greek, plus its careful English translation. I tremble at those who so easily change his text, not understanding I am sure, that the 10 years he spent preparing a Numeric Greek Lexicon before he even started preparing the Greek NT text, and that very lexicon alsoguided him in the English translation. How could such a one change Panin's translation of “bapTIzo” (to baptize), to “to wash”!

But Jesus also said in Matthew 28:19 to His eleven disciples (Judas had already fallen), Go therefore, and discipleall the nations (notjust make converts), baptizingthem into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching themto keep all things whatever I commanded you.” And Jesus commanded His disciples the Sermon on the Mount, andMatthew 10 above!

And Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments,” and pass them all unto all converts you disciple! J.A.W.
